Abstract

Timber stack discharger works damage free, mounted on a vehicle, operated safely from the cab. Vee splayed ropes, slack under the stack, are pulled to lie at an angle, lifting the timber upwards and sideways off the vehicle. Timber lengths lie on bearers (1) on the vehicle floor. Two posts (5, 6) each anchor (18) a rope (17). The ropes pass between the bearers, below the stack, and connect (20) to a hydraulic ram slide plate (12). The ram cylinder (9) is within an extended (8) tube (9). Tube slotting (16) retains (15) the guide plate, and ropes, twist-free. Ram operation straightens (19) the ropes.
