Abstract

The orthopaedic equipment holds a patient in the correct position, particularly one suffering from myopathy, having an open-cage type corset, a seat in the form of a shell, and means for securing the lower limbs. The corset (1) has a rigid shell at the back and sides, to which two flexible front walls (4) are secured, the latter being typically secured round the body by lacing.
