1349543 Stretchers A E LEWIS 13 Nov 1972 [13 Aug 1971] 38187/71 Heading ASX A stretcher comprises a rigid board B adapted to be strapped to the back of a patient and having an extension b<SP>1</SP> for supporting the patient's head, and a second board C to which the patient's legs are strapped and which is rigidly connected to the board B by rods D which extend through brackets d on the boards. The board C may have an extension c<SP>1</SP> and the extensions b<SP>1</SP>, c<SP>1</SP> may be pivoted to the boards. The patient is held in position on the boards by straps which pass through slots b, c in the boards. Pads b<SP>2</SP> of foamed rubber or plastics are secured to the boards and pads are provided for supporting the chin, neck and forehead of the patient.
