Abstract

The decorative face for a wrist watch has a central metal plate (6), on which a number of precious stones can be mounted, with an annular zone between this plate (16) and a surrounding frame ring (2). The metal plate (16) and the frame ring (2) each have means for locating a transparent element extending between them, to provide a rigid water-tight seal, resistant to flexing of the metal plate. The frame ring (2) is pref rectangular, with a circular aperture surrounding the watch face, and with the circular metal plate (16) positioned in the centre of the latter, with a transparent ring (11) between the metal plate (16) and the frame ring (2). An annular sealing ring is positioned between the frame ring (2) and the transparent ring (11) and between the latter and the metal plate (16).
