Abstract

Froth and insolubles are thus carried away together with the concentrate flow. The process is used for the purificn. of waste and brackish water; treatment of effluents from biological treatment plant sepn. of cheese whey for the prodn. of protein and lactose; sepn. of sulphite lye in cellulose paper mfr. It comprises a reduces power consumption with a high possible throughput rate. The membrane areas required are small, they clog less readily and have a longer service life.
