Abstract

A respirator type protective mask with face mask section having an air filter screw fitted to one side of the chin region is constructed such that the attachment piece (30) is mounted eccentrically to the line running through the centre of gravity of the entire mask. The air cleaning filter (28) is set back against the rear face piece edge, in relation to its centre of gravity by means of its attachment piece (24). A releasable mounting support is connected to the attachment piece (30).
