Abstract

The demountable clamp type connector which is actuated by a screw jack for use in fixing a rod handle onto a brush head. The connector is mounted on the handle extremity and clamps onto a spigot which projects from the brush head. It comprises a tube (5) which houses the handle end and forms a clamp socket for the head spigot. The clamp is formed by cutting along a diameter to form a static jaw (5). The mobile clamp jaw (M) comprises the complementary half tube which is bent to a longitudinal 'V' shape, pivots about the base (18) of the 'V' and is pivoted by a wing headed (12) bolt (13).
