Abstract

Each headlamp is fitted with a spring loaded servo cylinder in which the piston is subjected to servo pressure from the modulator valve on the rear axle. As the rear axle is displaced it either vents the pressure line to the headlamp servos, or couples it to the pressure supply line. The system is fed from a servo pump which supplies the pressure reservoir via a pressure control valve. The combined monitor and modulator valve provides a simple self regulating system which requires no attention once set up.
