Abstract

A humidifier incorporates a number of elements mounted side-by-side so as to form channels through which the air flows and is humidified by a water spray. The elements consist of metal e.g. aluminium, covered with a fibrous material. The sheets are reinforced by projections on the peaks of the corrugations. There are baffles to prevent air flowing out of them. The fibrous coating ensures uniform spreading and retention of the water as it flows down the elements by gravity.
