Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an air-speed distribution uniform and make an adsorbing efficiency uniform and higher by a method wherein a perforated baffle plate is provided only in the vicinity of the central part of an absorbent layer, in a water-absorbing and dehumidifying tower of a water-making machine. CONSTITUTION:In the vicinity of the central part with respect to the direction of length l of the absorbent layers 1a, 2a in the water-absorbing the dehumidifying towers 1, 2, the perforated baffle plate 1b having a cross-sectional shape of an inverted V is placed substantially in parallel to the inside surface of the absorbent layer, for instance, 1a, with an appropriate distance therebetween.
