Abstract

Paste for feeding animals comprising concentrated, defatted olive juice derived from unfermented residual liquors from extraction of oil from olives, to which is added extracted marc or dried, stoneless, whole olives. Optional additives include meat meal, fish meal, soya flour, arachis flour and mineral salts. Exploitation of waste material which has hitherto polluted surface water. A typical compn. comprises a 1:1 mixt. of concentrated defatted olive juice and stoneless marc which contained 8.5% lipids, 8% protein, 13.5% fibre, 12% ash and 58% non-nitrogenous extract (based on dry wt.).
