Abstract

The baking oven door is particularly for a built-in stove, having a grip bar running along the top edge. At least at the centre there is a gap between the bar (1) and the door panel (3), forming a passage (4) for cooling air. The bar can have a dish section extending forwards, with a vent opening (6) in the top. It can extend for the entire door width, there being a steam discharge port (7) passing through the door at one or both ends, discharging below the dish-shaped portion of the bar. Between the bar and the door panel there can be a layer (8) of heat-insulating material. The design keeps bar protrusion to the minimum, while preventing it getting uncomfortably hot.
