Abstract

The suspension arm is mounted at the end of a crane jib and is extended by an articulated yoke supporting a machine or a tool, being particularly for branch removal from trees before felling. The yoke (6) is rotated by a double-acting ram (7) pivoting on the arm and the yoke. Thus the machine supported by the yoke can be set to any desired angle. The yoke can be rotated through at least 120 deg. in relation to the arm (1), which can be shaped to suit the machine supported. The design allows branch removal from tree trunks whatever the angle of the latter.
