Abstract

A box file has its covers and back consisting of a central panel forming the spire, with a cover panel, and each side, and with a further narrow auxiliary panel between each cover and the spine panel. The rings which carry the documents are D shaped and are retained permanently on one of the auxiliary panels. Securing hooks for the rings are mounted on the other auxiliary panel and on the spine panel. By disengaging the rings completely from the hooks, the whole can be opened out flat for ease of filing. In this position, the joints of the rings are uppermost. The rings can alternately engage the hooks on the spine, so that the joints are sideways. Finally the rings can engage the hooks on the spine and also on the auxiliary panel so that the three panels form a U shape gripping the edges of the filed documents.
