Abstract

1408793 Furniture accessories &c E HEIMANN 8 Nov 1972 [9 Nov 1971] 51592/72 Heading A4U A support device for articles such as files, folders, cards, catalogues, loose sheets, newspapers or journals comprises a support 1 having a perpendicular panel 3 for engaging one side of the articles, and a horizontal panel 5 for slidably engaging a support surface 19, the panel 5 having means which hold the panel 5 in adjusted position and which are released only by manual resilient flexing of the support 1 or surface 19, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown). The support 1 co-operates with a complimentary support 2 to hold the articles between them, the support 2 having a perpendicular panel 4 and a horizontal panel 6 which is releasably held in adjusted position in a similar manner. Tongues 7, 8 of the panel 5 interleave with a tongue 9 of the panel 6. The means for holding the panels 5 and 6 in adjusted position on the surface 19 are members 16, 17, 18 on the panels 5 and 6, said members having a slip-proof coating. Edge members 22 on the supports 1 and 2 facilitate release of the panels 5, 6. Handles 23, 24 are provided for moving the supports 1, 2. In a second embodiment, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), the means for holding the panels 5 and 6 in adjusted position are teeth engaging racks.
