Abstract
A transmitter-receiver for millimetric wave transmission uses the super-reaction effect to produce hyperfrequency signals. The transmitter-receiver, has an oscillating source comprising a GUNN or BARITT avalanche diode (1). The diode (1) is in a resonating cavity (2) connected by a wave guide (3) to a cavity (4) containing a variable capacitance diode. The transmitter-receiver also has a microphone (10), a pulse generator (11) and a dc power supply (13) as part of the transmitter. It has the cavities (2, 4) and an aereal (5) common to the transmitter and the receiver. It has a detector (6), an amplifier (7), a discriminator (8) and earphones (9) as part of the receiver. The transmitter-receiver has a low oscillation drift.
