Abstract

Welding torch using a protective atmos. and a non-consumable electrode fitted in a conventional holder. The torch may alternatively use a consumable electrode. Specifically a sleeve clamped onto the electrode and contains an axial pipe used to supply inert gas to the weld. In the pref. assembly, the electrode is located on the axis of a pipe used to supply argon to an outlet nozzle fixed on the bottom end of a retaining element which contains both a collect clamped on the electrode by a threaded tube, and a gas diffuser.
