Abstract

Modified liq. urea-formaldehyde (UF) or melamineformaldehyde (MF) resins comprise a standard aq. UF or MF resin soln. into which has been incorporated particles of a previously precipitated, finely divided solid UF and/or Mf resin. The prds. have excellent adhesion and cohesion and can be cured in relatively thick sections without cracking as with prior art UF and MF resins. The resins are useful for casting, laminating and coating applications.
