Abstract

A metal door frame, quickly assembled on site, facilitating storage and transportation, can be easily dismantled when necessary. The frame comprises a cross member (1) joined to two uprights (2). Both cross member and uprights are made from channel sections with a web (3) and flanges (4). The opposite ends of the cross piece (1) and the upright (2) are cut at a 45 deg. angle. The cross piece is attached to the uprights by an angle bracket with one end welded to the cross piece and the other end cut to form two tongues. These fit exactly into two openings in the uprights and ensure that the corss piece is accurately positioned without further adjustment.
