1,143,479. Clamps; frame joints. VEREINIGTE LEICHTMETALL-WERKE G.m.b.H. 24 Aug., 1966 [28 Aug., 1965], No. 38040/66. Headings E1J and E2B. A device for connecting the ends of two hollow box mitre cut sections for window frames or facades comprises a corner angle member 2 with a slot for two screws 4 which pass through each limb and secure anchoring members 9 which are insertable into the outer walls of the sections. The anchoring members are circular, oval or rectangular in cross section and extend parallel to the ends of the angle member. Alternatively the screws extend from the anchoring members into the limbs, the angle member being unslotted.
