Abstract

The frame section is particularly for one to be inserted in an existing window frame, and whose straight portions form a continuous profiled tube. They are secured to each other by filler pieces jammed in the tubes. The filler pieces (4) are part of separate fixing devices, typically angle pieces (3). The design avoids the need for bevelling the section ends at 45 deg. to fit them together, nor is it necessary to assemble the complete frame at the works before despatch.
