Abstract

The container comprises an outer sheath formed from windings of high elastic modulus fibres impregnated with a thermosetting resin. It is resistant to the strains exerted by the fluid. The container has an inner metal liner ensuring fluid tightness, which is made of a metal which undergoes a reversible martensitic transformation at room temp. (-20 to 50 degrees C) under th effect of the strains. The container is used for storing gasses or liquids at >4 bars, e.g. O2 or CO. The liner has a greater service life without being excessively thick, e.g. the liner has a life >100000 cycles.
