Abstract

The outer shell is formed from a cylindrical pipe of asbestos cement closed at both ends by asbestos cement covers of which one forms an integral part of the pipe and the other is glued to the pipe. One cover is arched while the other is flat. The oil is contained in a tank within the outer shell. A vacuum can be created in the space between shell and tank. A radial projection on the side of the shell forms the access point to the inside of the container.
