Abstract
The battery cell comprises a cylindrical space (3) between the case (2) of the cell and on electrolyte (1). The boundary area adjacent to the electrolyte represents the cell anode space and in order to distribute the alkali metal over the solid electrolyte surface (1) an alkali metal store is provided, together with an intermediate material between the sulphur containing material and at least a part of the outer case. There is a central tube (11) inside the electrolyte tube (1).
