Abstract

The driving seat frame (1) is mounted on semi-circular rails (6) at the front and back of the frame. These rest on another set of semi-circular rails (4) which are fixed to the vehicle chassis (2). The seat can rotate in relation to the vehicle about longitudinal axis, to maintain a horizontal driving position when crossing sloping ground. The seat can be fixed in an inclined position by the manual catch (13) or can vary automatically in which cast rotation is controlled by the springs (7). The spring stiffness is adjustable to suit the weight of the driver.
