Abstract

The push-button pencil has a stem with an internal thread at its forward end and at a flat thrust surface. The tip is in one piece, screwing by means of an external thread into the internal one in the stem. A gripping sleeve is supported and guided for its entire length in the tip, and fits round the grip itself. The sleeve is thrust by a spring against the flat thrust surface of the stem at its rear end, locking the grip into engagement with the lead.
