Abstract

The one-piece hollow saddle (5) is for bicycles and motorcycles. It is made of plastic or rubber with integral moulded ribs obviating the need for springs or other metal-work. It can be fitted in place of an existing composite metal saddle. It has a valve (V) through which it can be filled with air, foam plastic or rubber, or a mixture of these. This allows varying flexibility, and the valve is used for adjustment.
