Abstract

Textile bases are coated with vulcanizable compositions comprising sulphur vulcanizable rubber, a vulcanizing agent therefor, a monoordi-hydric phenol- or alkylphenol-aldehyde novolak resin in which the aldehyde is an ethylenically unsaturated aldehyde containing three to ten carbon atoms in the molecule, and a curing agent for the novolak resin.
