Abstract
The arrangement for monitoring of the rotating speed of diesel engines is used especially for excess speed and triggers a speed reducing device and the minimum speed s also monitored. The system analyses a value proportional to the rotating speed and a safety action s taken when a specified maximum speed is exceeded. At the same time the exceeding of a specified minimum speed value is also monitored. the minimum speed monitoring system is coupled directly to the input (16) of the maximum speed monitor (17). For minimum speed sensing starter blocking device which prevents repetition of starter actuation is used. the speed is monitored by a toothed wheel (11) with pulse generating solenoid (12) and pulses are converted to direct current and fed to the input of maximum speed monitor.
