Abstract

Compsn. for the prodn. of building elements is pre prepd. by mixing polysstyrene foam particles ('Styropor' (RTM)) with cement, gypsum, alabaster, plastic earth such as loam, and opt. vegetable or synthetic glues, then admixing water to from a paste, which is moulded and air-dried (opt. at an elevated temp.) Used in prodn. of building stones, rafters, beams, etc.; the material can also be used as a filler for lightweight concrete. The material is light, water-impermeable, sund-dawping, has good mechanical strength and relatively rough surface suitable for application of coatings. The material is inexpensive.
