Abstract

The negative of a press stamp for soft contact lenses (as described in P.2356910) is made of glass or of a glass ceramic which is given a thin coating of metal - silver, deposited by the reduction of silver nitrate, - gold or silver by vaporising. The positive is obtained by pressing an epoxy resin. This is a simpler method of producing stamp positives which can be made directly from more easily formed negatives.
