Abstract

A labelling machine has the supply of labels stacked and individual labels are supplied to a first belt conveyor by pressure applied to the top of the stack. The conveyor is driven by a motor driven pulley which also drives further conveyors. The label is fed through the space between two pulleys one above the other and on to the next conveyor and hence to the final conveyor under a set of rollers. Should two labels be supplied from the stack then one of the two will be rejected when the two labels pass through the upper and lower pulleys and returned to the stack above the pulleys.
