Abstract

The threshed crop passes along a sleeve (5) above which are several rotary threshers (7) positioned one behind the other. Each rotor (7) has several tines (8) mounted on a shaft (9) so that they rotate in an anti-clockwise direction and complete an oscillatory crosswise movement, crosswise to the direction in which the threshed crop is being conveyed. The tines (8) are preferably elastic. Each rotor (7) operates in a trough-shaped cavity (10) in the sieve (5) fixed by means of transverse supports (11) to the combine-harvester housing. Scraper (12) near the rotors (7) are straight in the centre, and angular at the top in the front and back, and are fixed to the chassis. The rotational planes of adjacent tines (8) overlap.
