Abstract

The current generator control system uses thyristors and supplies a load with current pulses of duration to and period T. The system includes a proportional and integral regulator which receives a difference signal. This signal is the difference between a current reference signal and a current measuring signal at the generator output. The regulator sends an output signal to a unit which controls the gates of the thyristors. The system also has a regulator which emits a correction signal. An adder adds the output signal of the proportional-integral regulator to the correction signal so as to form the input signal (11) for the control unit. The regulator (10) has a non-linear computing unit (14). This computing unit (14) receives the non-filtered generator output current signal (8) and calculates a gain signal (15) of the form tc/T.
