Abstract

Fasteners comprising two strips of semi-rigid material are bonded longitudinally to form an elongated jaw or hook. Two such fasteners can be mutually engaged by a lateral push-fit, and can be adjusted or separated by longitudinal sliding or by tearing. Esp. suitable for fastening document covers, personal identity labels or badges, suspending notices, etc. The fastener strips are cheap to make, may be cut to length as required and are self-supporting. The strips may be made from PVC sheet and precoated with a contact adhesive to be used to anchor the fastener to a wall surface, fabric or other point of use and/or support something on the face of one half of the fastener.
