Abstract

The vertical stand (7) has an incoming conveyor (7a) at the bottom and an outgoing conveyor. (7b) at the top. Parallel to this stand is a vertically suspended slide (1). On the other side of the stand is similar frame (8) carrying a power cylinder (8c). Packages (3) enter underneath and rest on a platform (8a) below the slide. This platform, cylinder operated, is raised and the package enters the slide, held by pawls (4a, ab) and elevating the other packages in the slide. As the package rises, an upper linkage (8b) on the cylinder swings an arm (8f) across the slide and pushes the top package (3n) onto the outgoing conveyor (7b).
