Abstract

The curtain rail support bracket holds a pair of rails (5), each in the shape of an inverted U with rolled-over edges. It has a horizontal arm (6) with a pair of correspondingly inverted U-shaped extensions (3) suspended from it, to receive the rails. The inward facing vertical leg (4) of each U- shaped holding member (3) is removable, to assist assembly. When inserted, a wedge shaped portion (10) on top of the leg fits into a triangular recess formed by a bent arm (8, 9) on the underside of the horizontal arm (6). The wedge portion is then locked inside the recess by a screw (12) passing through the horizontal part (9) of the bent arm. The shape of this recess causes the removable leg to be forced upwards and also inwards against the curtain rail (5), to lock it.
