Abstract

The energy generator consists of a number of short rockers which are able to float and are stacked end to end. The rockers are joined together by means of a central cable under tension. Each rocker operates independently and is actuated by means of an eccentric lobe (26), lifted by a wave so as to cause rotation of the unit. The energy is employed to operate a hydraulic motor. The powers from each motor are added to produce a total hydraulic power used to drive a generator. The output of each unit varies according to the wave energy. The eccentric lobes are secured at the ends to the rockers by cables which run round the roller peripheries.
