Abstract

The washer system for the windscreen or headlamp is fitted with a simple spring loaded pressure valve which opens when a set pressure is reached. This ensures an efficient operation as well as preventing leakage of washing fluid when not used. For a simple construction the valve is incorporated in the washer jet moulding. One design has the valve fitted inside the inlet nozzle of the jet, for easy removal if damaged. Another design has the valve inside a special rubber over-rider on the bumper bar with the washer jet moulded inside the over-rider to clean the headlamp.
