Abstract

The pneumatic operating cylinder is for the infinite operation of equipment such as opening and closing devices for windows or ventilators. A piston rod engages at its free end on an operating mechanism and is acted on both sides with compressed air. Locks for arresting in both directions consist of a conical ring and several lock rollers freely arranged between the conical lead face and the cylinder inner wall. The axial play of the rollers necessary for a locking position, and a release position is limited on one side by the surface of the part piston, and on the other side the elastic limitation in a given range is taken over by a spring plate.
