Abstract

The spring component is for use between a garage door and the mechanism opening and shutting it, the force being exerted by a coil spring. It comprises two beams (5a, 5b) telescoping one inside the other, each having near their ends transverse protruding stop pins (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b). The two pins (6a, 6b) on the one beam (5a) are the same distance apart as those on the other one and in the overlap area of the beams enclosed between the pins a pressure spring (8) can be compressed between them. The two other pins not used in this respect extend into a space forming an extension of the spring.
