Abstract

The distributor consists of a box in plastic or metal of such a size as to take a roll of paper or plastic. The box stands on four corner pads and is fitted with a semi-cylindrical lid (11) which closes the box. The box is fitted with a front cutting lip (17). The front edge of the lid falls onto the front edge of the box. Two central pads on the lid allow this to be opened or closed easily. The material of the roll is passed through the slot under the front edge of the lip and over the cutting edge. The lid may be pressed down so that its front edge clamps the material being unrolled from the web against the box. The material may then be moved downwards on the cutting edge to severe a length of material which has been drawn from the distributor.
