Abstract

The anti-sked wheel attachment set for a wheel with a pneumatic tyre, consists of a ring shaped plate (1) secured by brackets (4) to cover the region between the hub and the rim of the wheel, and with a set of radial arms (3) each terminating in a curved portion (13) to fit over the face of the tyre (14), and having a corrugated contact face. Each arm is attached to a tube so as to slide telescopically between a pair of radial guide strips (21), opposed by the force of a spring inside the tube, allowing the arms to follow compression and expansion of the tyre. Each arm is attached by a pin (23) passing through it, acting as a pivot, so that the arm can be swung back for installation and removal.
