Abstract

Piezoelectric igniter as a simple plug-in unit. The gas tank also is a push-fitting unit, leaving the relatively expensive case with a minimum of working parts. In the version illustrated, the two contacts of the piezo-electric unit connect, the one via the metal case to a fixed electrode; the other to a plate contact and thence, when the operating knob tilts the lever, via that lever to the gas nozzle. Other versions differ in detail.
