Abstract
The generator is driven by two cylindrical rotors (6, and 7) mounted on vertical shafts (8 and 9) on a platform (1). The wind is directed by a venturi to blow into the small gap of about 10 cm between the rotors. The venturi is mounted on bogies (24-28) which run on a circular track (29, 30) so that the venturi together with the platform (1) can be rotated to face the wind. The rotors are made of thin flexible rubber sheet and inflated with low pressure air. As the wind blows between the rotors the pressure of the air causes local deformation of the rotors producing a temporary blade which causes the rotors to rotate.
