Abstract

A method and device for driving a perforated base, such as a film, (F) has the perforated base guided so as to travel against a rectilinear part of a drive chain with a flat, rectilinear surface(1) provided with wedges (2). The flat drive surface(1) can move perpendicular, in either direction, such that several of its wedges (2), preferably a minimum of three, are engaged in the corresponding perforations (P) of the rectilinear part of the perforated base (F). The flat drive surface is an endless belt (1) mounted on gear pinions.
