ダーフイルムを用いる前者の方式は、1回の処理
工程毎にリーダーフイルムを巻き取るものである
ため、短尺の写真用フイルムを個別に頻繁に処理
したいという要求に対して不適である。この点に
おいて後者の所謂シヨートリーダー方式は有利で
あるが、この場合には、リーダーフイルムを送り
ローラやスプロケツトで、順次次の送りローラ等
の位置まで到達させることが必須であるので、処
理装置中に極めて多数の送りローラ等を必要とす
るのみならず、それらの個々を駆動するための駆
動機構も複雑化し、愈々部材点数が多くなつてコ
スト高になる憾みがあつた。

向に連続的に回転走行せしめるものとなされてい

にフイルムの搬送を遂行することができると共
に、リーダーフイルムの更なる短小化が可能とな
り、フイルム処理能力の向上をはかりうる。また
無端帯の走行駆動のためにその一端のプーリーの
みを駆動すれば足るから、従来の対向ローラ搬送
方式あるいはスプロケツト搬送方式のいずれの場
合に較べても、駆動ローラないしは駆動スプロケ
ツトの数を大幅に減少することができ、駆動機構
の簡素化をはかり得るのはもとより、部品点数の
大幅な削減と相俟つてコストダウンをはかり得る
等の顕著な利点がある。
