Abstract
The aerodynamic member is hollow and is evacuated by the flow of air over its aerodynamic surfaces drawing air from the interior of the body through slots. The slots are defined by slots (5) mounted on links (7). At their outer ends, the links are pivotably connected to the slots, and at their inner ends, the links have slots which may slide along pins (9) on a rod (8). The rod (8) is connected to a flexible membrane (10) at the centre of which is a control rod (11) passing through a valve (12) the front chamber (13) defined by the flexible membrane (10) acts as a control space limiting the amount of pivotal movement of the slots (5).
