Abstract
A ship's surface cleaning robot travels over the rigid surface to be cleaned, and has a housing reinforced by a frame also supporting the units enclosed in it. The housing has a mechanism propelling it over the surface, and a lower open face against this surface. A cleaning device for the latter is included, together with a drive and control unit, a set of pipes and a central remote monitoring station for all the equipment. Cleaning can be affected by one or more nozzles producing very high speed laminar flow from a fluid at very high pressure, so as to generate ultrasonic vibrations. The nozzles are mounted at the front and/or rear of the housing.
