Abstract

An air filter particularly for an operating theatre is mounted inside a false ceiling and suspended with an air delivery hood above it. a rectangular casing (3) made from thin sheet has stiffening grooves (4) around it, and an inverted V shaped flange (7) around the top, with the free flange edge (9) fitting into a groove in the top of a seal (10) in a wooden frame member (11) enclosing the filter. Around the bottom edge is a rolled over rim (12) which clamps a support frame (19) in turn carrying an inner pressure frame (13) which consists of a U shaped member with horizontal arms through which pass vertical adjusting screws (17) carrying rotating pressure pads n16) which tension the wooden filter frame member upwards. The frame (19) supports the discharge grid (20) and associated members.
